    Abstract: This study examines the effects of newspaper endorsements of candidates in the 2012 U.S. presidential election. By endorsing a particular candidate, newspapers appear to play an important role in terms of motivating college students to make their voting decision or jump on the bandwagon of a candidate who is widely endorsed by the press.
